Dear Country Men
We know now that the phone calls in the presidency is not answered by any colonial masters or anyone else in the name of the colonial masters, but by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is because the colonial masters doesn’t live here anymore. This is our country, this is the land of our fathers ,The Land Our Fathers Fought For, With THEIR blood, yes some of them water the earth with their blood in the battle field of freedom, a fight for love ,a fight of freedom, freedom from oppression, marginalisation and the plan for the future generation. Exactly let all the ears hear the truth for once the independence of Nigeria fulfill an understanding conceived by the genius of our freedom fighters, it began by them with resolute courage and pursued with determination. When our freedom fighters embarked on this great now consummated undertaking, they did not come to us as a conqueror but as agents of civilization. It is you, gentlemen, who must now prove that they did well ,they trust in us the avoidance of violence, to be aware of hasty, reforms and not to replace peace with anarchy. Gentlemen of the Political class, the eyes of the world are trained on you . We must reply what our children will retain.
My Dear compatriots victorious independence fighters, our independence though proclaimed in accord with the British Colonial Masters, Masters from a friendly nation with which we are on equal footing, no self respecting Nigerian can forget that we fought to win it. A combat in which we spared not one effort not one privation, not one drop of blood. We endured hard labour exacted for a pittance, we endured taunts, insults and beatings, morning, afternoon and night because we were black , who cannot forget the shootings that claimed so many brothers, the cells into which were jammed those who escaped the bullets of soldiers who were used to dominate us , all that brothers, has caused suffering and our wounds are too fresh and painful for us to erase them from our memory all that , brothers, we loudly declare all that is over and done with now. Nigeria has been proclaimed, our land now belongs to its own children, My brothers in Politics the time is now, we should institute social justice and ensure that our soil truly benefits our children, your excellency , ladies and gentlemen, fellow countrymen, my brothers in combat, my black brothers , this is what l have to say , long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria and African unity, God bless Nigeria, God bless Africa, always remember you are Nigeria, and Nigeria is Africa.
